Managing Time With A Hobby And Making Money

I am a new blog writer for Renewing Life with Shonte, and before I introduce myself, I would like to thank you all for your support and for clicking the link to read this post, and I hope you all enjoy it!

My name is Unique, and I am a single mother of three wonderful daughters, one of them lives in Florida, and my younger two are with me. Altogether, I have two teenagers and a soon to be teen in June.

I think most of us have become overwhelmed with the COVID-19 going on, with kids being out of school and most of us being without a job, some of us may feel hopeless when it comes to managing our household and our sanity at the same time in this unfortunate time. I decided after a few days of being in quarantine that I needed to find a way to relax and make some extra money at the same time, so I started crocheting again. I haven’t done it in awhile, but with the unexpected free time, it has been very relaxing and can be done at any time of the day or night. Most people don’t have any idea on how to start, and there are videos that can help, but the easiest way is to start with a straight line that can form into a necklace or bracelet, you could add some beads or designs to it and make it your own creation! After you get the hang of it, you can begin to create more things like hats and gloves, or even socks or scarves. It depends on how much time and patience you want to use.

Once you have decided what you enjoy doing to be creative, you can sell your creations online or locally to make a little extra cash. My main job is wedding and event planning, real estate, and travel agent, but unfortunately and obviously with the stay at home orders, I have been reduced to working part time, I had to think of other ways to make money quickly, so I decided to be creative and pick back up on my

hobby that would help me relax and bring in some money. Other ways I'm making a little extra cash is doing surveys online, and though it can get boring answering repetitive questions and can be time-consuming, if you're short on cash, it could help in a big way. Look for anything around your house that hasn't been used to renew it to make it your own creation, all while relaxing with a newfound hobby and making a little extra money in the process.
