Mom Tip #1 During the stay at home order
Updated: Apr 27, 2020
Being a single stay at home mom, who also is a student and Youtube vlogger on a normal day when we're not quarantined is a lot to take on but doing all of that and also adding homeschooling during the Covid-19 pandemic is even more challenging.
There's already so many things to do through out the day rather if your a stay at home parent or working parent being able to complete all your task in one day can stress you out and simply drive you crazy.
If you're feeling overwhelmed with all of the extra duties you now have to take on on top of always having to remind your child/ren to wash their hands then please do not worry because you are not alone during these challenging times and if you are looking for ways to simplify life even just a little bit then please keep reading.
Iv'e been a stay at home mom since becoming a mom with my oldest Royce, and during his whole seven years and two more kids later I have experienced many ups and downs trying to perfect a functional way of organizing my children toys, puzzles and books and I finally have and am here to share it with you all at least the book portion. Lol
After spending hours on Pinterest I found the idea of making a reading corner/nook so I decided to use a corner behind my couch to make my kids a reading corner and in their little corner they have all their books, puzzles and building blocks to entertain them while I cook, clean, do school work or edit videos.
On Pinterest you can find lots of great ideas and D.I.Y'S on how to create a reading nook in your home and it doesn't matter rather if you have small space or a lot of it your child/ren having a reading corner and place to store their books might not be such a bad idea!
Our reading corner very rarely gets messy but I understand how sometimes any place where we store our kids belongings can get messy but to prevent such a big mess in the reading corner I try to make sure after every book my three read that they put it away before they grab a new one, I also make sure they fix any pillows or blankets they use and I try to make it a habit to go in their reading corner at least two times a week to organize their books. Since having our reading nook my children enjoy looking at their books more and having a little cozy spot to call their own in the living room! I hope you all have enjoyed this post and can take a few ideas from it, helping you to create your own reading nook!
Love you
